The purpose of the pact
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS) govern the contractual relationship between Real Big Stories (hereinafter "We") and any person making a purchase through our website (hereinafter "You").
By ordering a story on our site, you accept these terms without reservation. They prevail over any other document.
Our treasures
We offer the creation of personalised storybooks. Each book is a unique work, generated through our creative technology from the details you provide (first name, age, interests, photo, etc.).
Nature of the products:
- The Digital Manuscript: A high-definition PDF file sent by email or available for download.
Please note that the visual representations on the site are indicative only. The magic of personalisation means that each result is unique and made to measure for your child.
The ordering ritual
To receive your story, the process is as follows:
- Selection — You choose the book format and the child's age range.
- Payment — You confirm your order and proceed to secure payment.
- Personalisation — You bring the story to life by answering a few questions (hero, themes, universe).
- Confirmation — You receive an email confirming your order.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided (spelling of the first name, quality of the photo). Once the order is launched, our artisans get to work.
The treasure chest
Prices are shown in Euros (€) and include all taxes.
Payment is due immediately upon ordering. We use recognised, secure payment solutions (such as Stripe or PayPal) to guarantee the security of your transactions. Your bank details never pass through our systems unencrypted and are never stored by us.
The magical delivery
Digital products: Delivery is made by email or via a download link in your personal account. Our books are generally sent within 48 hours. This timeframe allows us to guarantee artisanal quality: every book is proofread and checked by our creative team to make sure the magic works perfectly. At Real Big Stories, nothing is automated — every creation receives a human eye.
The right to change your mind
This is an important point defined by law (Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code).
Why is a refund no longer possible once the book has been created?
Because each book is a one-of-a-kind piece, made to measure for your child. From the moment our "digital artisans" (our servers) have finished weaving the story and the illustrations, the product exists and cannot be "un-made" or resold to anyone else (because it is the story of YOUR child).
In summary:
- Before receiving the book: You may cancel your order and receive a full refund.
- After receiving the book: A refund is no longer possible, as the service has been fully performed and personalised.
Our quality promise
Despite all the care we take, a technical error can happen.
Conformity: If the digital file is corrupted or unreadable, contact us immediately at hello@realbigstories.com. We undertake to generate a new, compliant file, or to refund you if a fix is impossible.
However, we are not responsible for spelling mistakes in the text you entered (the hero's first name, etc.), nor for the quality of a supplied photo that is insufficient (blurry, dark).
Intellectual property
Our rights: The structure of the site, the software, the graphic elements, the texts, images, videos and know-how are the exclusive property of Real Big Stories.
Your story: By purchasing a book, you obtain a non-exclusive licence for personal, private use. You may read the story, print it for your family, and share it with your loved ones. You may not resell it, distribute it or exploit it commercially without our agreement.
Your secrets
We handle your data with the utmost respect, because these are your most precious memories.
Exclusive use
Your child's information and photos are used solely to create their story through our technologies.
Automatic deletion
Once the book has been generated and delivered, all photos are automatically deleted from our servers. We keep no images.
Maximum security
Your data is never passed on to third parties or sold. Our creative technologies run on our own secure systems ("locally"), guaranteeing total confidentiality.
The only exception to data deletion would be an explicit request on your part (for example, to reprint a book later). Otherwise, digital forgetting is our default rule.

The law of the kingdom
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, we will always favour an amicable solution. If no solution can be found, the French courts shall have jurisdiction.
