How do I add or replace photos before ordering?
Choose a photo from your phone or computer and check that it was added.
1. Open the photo section
In /create, the hero's photo is at the Appearance step. Photos of loved ones are in their own card at the Team step. In the custom form, open the card for the character concerned.
2. Choose an image from your device
Tap the photo area or the add-photo button, then choose an image from your photos or files. If photo tips appear, read them and then continue choosing your file. Ideally use an original photo in JPG or PNG; WebP and HEIC photos are also accepted by the picker.
3. Wait and check
Wait for the upload to finish. The photo you chose should appear in the right character's card. In the classic flow, the hero uses one photo at a time; to change it, use the replace button or remove the photo before adding another. The custom form lets you add several photos to the same card.
If the photo won't upload
In /create, the file must not exceed 20 MB. If a format is rejected or the upload fails, try a JPG or PNG photo, check your connection and try again. Read the message shown: it helps explain what's blocking. If the problem persists, tell Alfred your device, the step and the exact message.
Change the photo before the book is created
Choosing a different photo before ordering is not the same as reworking a book that's already been created. Adding a better photo afterwards won't automatically redo the book's characters. A weak likeness doesn't qualify for a touch-up: take the time to choose the right photo from the start.
