How do I create a custom book at /custom-book?
Share your idea, your characters and the important details before ordering.
Start at /custom-book
The custom book is meant for projects that don't fit well with a catalog book or a guided creation option. The journey may show you a form or guide you to a conversation with Plume. Either way, they're there to gather your project; just follow the one shown to you.
Describe what you have in mind
Explain the story idea, its world, the occasion and the message you'd like to share. Separate what's essential from what can be left to our imagination. For example: "An adventure at sea with her grandmother; the important message is daring to ask for help." You don't need to write the whole book to share an idea.
Add the characters and their photos
Enter the hero, their first name and age, then the loved ones you'd like to include. In the form, you can add up to four characters besides the hero. Place the photos in the matching profiles and describe any important details you'd like us to know.
Check the length and the price
The custom form lets you choose from 10 to 20 illustrated chapters. The length and any additional characters affect the price. Fill in the information requested, including your email, then review your cart before paying. Don't assume a custom book costs the same as a standard one.
This journey differs from the standard preview
The custom form gathers your project and then lets you add it to your cart; it doesn't show the same preview as /create before ordering. Follow the guidance in your journey rather than expecting an identical screen. Decide what you want before paying: a custom book doesn't include unlimited changes after creation.
