On every page, their name appears. In every scene, their face is unmistakable — their silhouette, their colours, their expression. Our creative team works from the photos you share with us to make your child the true hero of the story. You choose their universe — enchanted forest, dino kingdom, fairy realm, superheroes, pirates, or a fully bespoke world — and you can invite up to three people they love into the adventure: a big brother, a best friend, the family cat, their favourite stuffed animal.

How is this different from other books in the catalogue (Birthday, Firefighter, Father's Day…)?

The other books are built around a specific occasion or theme — a birthday, a job, a life milestone. My Custom Story Book imposes nothing: you choose everything (universe, cast, story arc) from everything our catalogue has to offer. It's the most open-ended version of the product, perfect when there's no particular occasion or when you want to create something truly unique with no theme constraints.

How do I choose from the 25 story arcs on offer?

The 25 archetypes are organised by age group (6 for ages 0–2, 5 for ages 3–5, 7 for ages 6–8, 7 for ages 9+). At the point of ordering, you'll see 3 suggestions matched to your child's age and passions — not all 25 at once. You pick the one that speaks to you. If none of them feel right, we can generate three new ones.

Does my child need to already know the chosen world (forest, superheroes, pirates…)?

Not at all. Many parents choose a world their child already loves (for the thrill of recognition), while others prefer to introduce a brand-new world through the book. Both work beautifully — our creative team adapts the tone, references and vocabulary so everything is accessible and understandable, even if it's the very first time your child has ever met a dragon or a pirate.

Quel est le délai de livraison ?

Notre livraison express est de 7 jours en France métropolitaine — c'est le délai à viser pour offrir un livre à une date précise. Le délai standard est de 10 à 15 jours ouvrés si vous n'avez pas d'urgence. Pour les pressés, la version numérique (PDF) est disponible en 24 heures après validation de la commande. Pour les DOM-TOM et l'étranger, comptez un délai plus long, variable selon le pays. Vous recevez un numéro de suivi par email dès l'expédition. Question, doute ? Quel est le format du livre et combien fait-il de pages ?

format A4 paysage (29,7 × 21 cm fermé), idéal à tenir à deux ou à poser à plat. La version standard contient 10 chapitres illustrés encadrés par une introduction et une conclusion — environ 28 pages au total. La version longue en compte près du double avec ses 20 chapitres (~48 pages). Chaque chapitre associe une illustration pleine page et un texte adapté à l'âge de l'enfant.

Quelle est la qualité du papier et de l'impression ?

Imprimé en France sur papier épais mat, qualité premium. Couverture rigide cartonnée, identique pour tous les âges. Reliure cousue-collée conçue pour durer — c'est un objet pensé pour être lu cent fois, pas pour finir au fond d'un tiroir.

Peut-on modifier le livre après la commande ?

Oui, tant que le livre n'est pas encore parti en impression — généralement dans les premières heures suivant la commande. Contactez-nous le plus rapidement possible à bonjour@lepetitheros.com avec votre numéro de commande et la modification souhaitée (prénom mal orthographié, photo à remplacer, casting à ajuster). Une fois le livre en impression, plus aucune modification n'est possible.

Et si je ne suis pas satisfait du résultat ?

Si quelque chose ne va pas — impression défectueuse, problème de qualité, illustration qui ne ressemble pas à l'enfant — contactez-nous rapidement après réception à bonjour@lepetitheros.com. On réimpression ou remboursement intégral, sans débat. Ça arrive rarement, mais quand c'est le cas, on prend nos responsabilités.

Mes données et photos sont-elles en sécurité ?

Oui — les photos servent uniquement à créer le livre. Elles sont jamais partagées, jamais utilisées pour autre chose, et nous les supprimées de nos serveurs sur simple demande. Tous nos prestataires (paiement, hébergement, impression) sont conformes au RGPD.
