Your child climbs into their little yellow plane. Ahead of them, the runway opens onto fields, a river winds its way through bends, and the village rooftops shrink to tiny dots. In My Little Airplane, they're the pilot: they're the one observing, choosing their direction, and discovering what lies beyond the next hill.
The joy of flying, in every adventure
This personalised plane book puts centre stage the moments young plane enthusiasts love to imagine: take-off, the view from above, radio chatter, and landing back on the runway. Your child keeps their own aircraft throughout the story. The illustrations alternate between their face at the controls, sweeping landscapes, and encounters on the ground. Their name and appearance, based on the photos you share with us, make them the hero of this adventure.
Two stories for ages 3-5
A duckling waits near the airfield: while the keeper watches over it, your child searches for its family from the sky. Geese, duck-shaped pedal boats and a hidden pond hold some heartwarming surprises. You can also choose the red hot air balloon: vanished behind a hill, it must be spotted among the rooftops and tractors. Once the balloon is found, your child helps its crew reach the right field.
Two missions for ages 6-8
The little planes' race pits your child against a boastful pilot. Three landmarks to spot and a finish line on the far shore of the lake give the competition its edge: observation makes all the difference. In the other story, a pilot radios in from an unfamiliar meadow. He's landed safely and is fine, but can't say exactly where he is. A train heard but not seen becomes the key clue to finding him.
One adventure, in 10 or 20 chapters
The 10-chapter version keeps the mission, the main surprises and the ending. The 20-chapter version expands on the search, the false leads and the helpful encounters along the way. Every detour sets up a discovery; the reunion, the victory or the thank-yous bring the chosen story to its close.
The loved ones you add can cheer your child on from the ground or chat with them over the radio. But at the controls, they fly solo in their little plane. Our creative team tailors the words, humour and pace to their age, so the book keeps that sense of take-off and the joy of discovering what happens next, together.
