Before ordering
What are the limits of a custom book?
More freedom at the start, without promising perfect execution of every detail.
A personal idea, in an illustrated book
A custom book lets you start from your own idea or text rather than a catalog concept. To keep the project clear, choose one main story and explain the scenes or messages that are essential. A list of conflicting wishes can't all be depicted faithfully.
The form's limits
You can choose from 10 to 20 illustrated chapters and enter the hero with up to four additional characters. The form allows 2,000 characters for the story idea, 4,000 for free-form details and 40,000 for a text you've already written. These limits include spaces: they measure the size of the information you send, not a guaranteed number of pages in the book.
The illustration limits stay the same
A photo serves as a reference for a drawing: it doesn't guarantee an identical portrait. An outfit, a cuddly toy, a setting or a face may show small differences from one illustration to the next. A custom book guarantees neither a perfect likeness nor the exact reproduction of every detail.
Your wishes need to be shared at the start
Prepare the information, the photos and the must-haves before ordering. Our team doesn't completely rewrite a book that's already been created based on new wishes. The dedication can be edited when editing is available. Major creation errors can be reviewed; preferences and small visual inconsistencies aren't grounds for a redo.
If your project goes beyond this scope
The maximum is four additional characters alongside the hero: a note or a conversation with our team cannot increase this limit. If you need a different length or have a particular requirement you are unsure about, ask whether your project is possible before paying. A conversation does not automatically authorise an additional service.
